Community Focused
I love helping out my community, especially when it means I get to meet other Lansing locals who adore our city as much as I do. You may have seen me recently around town helping at the Krampus Festival in Old Town or with Lansing Pride. In 2020, I petitioned the city and collected signatures to get speed bumps added to Cleo Street. While the initiative was unsuccessful, it taught me a lot about how our local Lansing government works. Volunteering keeps me connected to my community and I get to learn about what matters most to my neighbors.

Pet Parent
I am a pet parent to an amazing dog, Violet, who I adopted from the Capital Area Humane Society here in Greater Lansing. Violet has taught me many life lessons in responsibility and loyalty. In turn, I have taught her how to do competitive dog agility, use word buttons to communicate her needs, and quite a few tricks. She is an excitable sweetheart of a dog, and I’m very lucky she chose me!

Affordable Housing Advocate
After renting apartments for many years, I was able to purchase my first house in 2022. I knew I loved Lansing, and wanted to set down permanent roots here. My own housing situation showed me how tough our housing market is, and how badly we need to get a handle on ensuring we have affordable housing for everyone, including those who want or need to rent.
